## Number System Type 4: Ascending and Descending Ordering of Numbers

Question 1:
$\frac{4}{5}, \frac{7}{8}, \frac{6}{7}, \frac{5}{6}$ Arrange in the ascending order :
आरोही क्रम में व्यवस्थित करें:
(1) $\frac{4}{5}, \frac{7}{8}, \frac{6}{7}, \frac{5}{6}$
(2) $\frac{5}{6}, \frac{6}{7}, \frac{7}{8}, \frac{4}{5}$
(3) $\frac{4}{5}, \frac{5}{6}, \frac{6}{7}, \frac{7}{8}$
(4) $\frac{7}{8}, \frac{6}{7}, \frac{5}{6}, \frac{4}{5}$

(3)
Firstly, we express every fraction in decimal form.
$\frac{4}{5}$ = 0.8
$\frac{7}{8}$= 0.875
$\frac{6}{7}$= 0.857
$\frac{5}{6}$= 0.833
So, $\frac{4}{5}, \frac{5}{6}, \frac{6}{7}, \frac{7}{8}$ is the answer.

Question 2:
$\frac{3}{5}, \frac{7}{9}, \frac{11}{13}$ Arrange in the descending order :
अवरोही क्रम में व्यवस्थित करें:
(1) $\frac{3}{5}, \frac{7}{9}, \frac{11}{13}$
(2) $\frac{7}{9}, \frac{3}{5}, \frac{7}{8}$
(3) $\frac{11}{13}, \frac{7}{9}, \frac{3}{5}$
(4) $\frac{11}{13}, \frac{3}{5}, \frac{7}{9}$

(3)
Firstly, we express every fraction in decimal form.
$\frac{3}{5}$ = 0.6
$\frac{7}{9}$= 0.777
$\frac{11}{13}$= 0.846
So, $\frac{11}{13}, \frac{7}{9}, \frac{3}{5}$ is the answer.

Question 3:
$\frac{1}{3}, \frac{4}{7}, \frac{2}{5}$ Arrange in the ascending order :
आरोही क्रम में व्यवस्थित करें:
(1) $\frac{4}{7}, \frac{1}{3}, \frac{2}{5}$
(2) $\frac{2}{5}, \frac{4}{7}, \frac{1}{3}$
(3) $\frac{1}{3}, \frac{2}{5}, \frac{4}{7}$
(4) $\frac{4}{7}, \frac{1}{3}, \frac{2}{5}$

(3)
Firstly, we express every fraction in decimal form.
$\frac{1}{3}$ = 0.333
$\frac{2}{5}$= 0.4
$\frac{4}{7}$= 0.5714
So, $\frac{1}{3}, \frac{2}{5}, \frac{4}{7}$ is the answer.

Question 4:
Six numbers are arranged in decreasing order. The average of the first five numbers is 30 and the average of the last five numbers is 25. The difference of the first and the last numbers is :
छह संख्याओं को घटते क्रम में व्यवस्थित किया गया है। पहली पांच संख्याओं का औसत 30 है और अंतिम पांच संख्याओं का औसत 25 है। पहली और अंतिम संख्याओं का अंतर है
(1) 20
(2) 25
(3) 5
(4) 30

(2)
Numbers are :
a > b > c > d > e > f
According to the question,
a + b + c + d + e = 5 × 30 = 150 — (i)
b + c + d + e + f = 5 × 25 = 125 — (ii)
By equation (i) – (ii)
a – f = 150 – 125 = 25

Question 5:
The sum of three consecutive integers is 51. The middle one is :
लगातार तीन पूर्णांकों का योग 51 है। बीच वाला है:
(1) 14
(2) 15
(3) 16
(4) 17

x =$\frac{48}{3}$ = 16
